January 7th, 2009- New Beford daytrip with Ryan Grandmaison!

Meet Ryan Grandmaison. Ryan is a wonderful little guy with a BIG imagination! But Seriously, he's awesome. On Tuesday, 1/6, he and I spent the evening in New Bedford, a place in my own home state of Massachusetts that I'd actually never been (it's about two hours east, to my credit.)

I hit the road at about 3:30.

All the white in my moonroof? Yeah, that's a huge storm coming. I'll get to that later.

When Ryan and I first got to his place in Acushnet, MA, he showed me the area known in my book as "the STABB! HQ," where he brilliantly prepares his orders with thoughtfulness and creativity. Goodies, awesome packing, and great designs are what proove to me the fact that he is going somewhere with this project. It's the little things that keep customers happy and stoked on your product that keep me going and motivate me to push on with Prestigious in terms of new and exciting material ALL THE TIME. Ryan is one of those inspiring factors.

We left his place and headed downtown en route to an AWESOME restaurant that he had been telling me about. No Problemo, a DIY family and friends-operated gig that is quite established in New Bedford. So many delicious things to choose from, and their guacamole is outstanding.

I'm vegan, so restaurant menus can be difficult for me to navigate through- not the case at No Problemo. Tons of meatless and non-dairy options, and anything can be adjusted to your liking. So good. Not to mention, they had a ton of different drinks and beers on hand- the variety is spectacular.

After stuffing ourselves with delicious burritos and some nachos with guacamole (again, awesome), we headed to the Dartmouth Mall to kill some time and hopefully play Time Crisis. We did both, and some air hockey (he got pwned in air hockey).

Ryan looked happy at PacSun so I needed to capture it. We felt like little kids opening presents. There was a ton of cool stuff.

we left shortly thereafter and headed back to his place for some xbox and downtime before I had to head home (it was getting pretty late at this point).

Trash-talking on xobox live may be the funniest thing to hear Ryan partake in.

And that was about it for the day. We had a great time, and more is on the agenda for things to do in eastern MA. Good times!
