December 29th, 2008-- My little trip to Florida.

I just got back from a wonderful (and much needed) vacation through last week in Orlando, Florida. The weather was beautiful and the atmosphere relaxing in it's tourismic chaos.

Monday, I was up realllly early since the flight was set to leave Bradley (Hartford, CT) at 8:15 AM. As you can see, it's pitch black.

That's the woods across from my driveway. Like I said, pre-sunrise, super early.

I got to the carpark around 6:30 when the sun started peeking out. I was getting a little nervous, since they always suggest to get to the airport two hours BEFORE your flight (security check and whatnot) and I was pushing it for sure.

The shuttle brought us to the airport pretty quickly. Got through security no problem and some time to spare. I had the opportunity to snap a few shots:

On the plane, there was this disgusting looking "flight phone" that has either seen too much use over the years or complete neglect, I couldn't decide. I found it's poor condition pretty funny, and grabbed a quick pic of it!

The flight had a stop in Charlotte, NC. The airport looked really nice, especially this glass....wall?

...and of course, the epic midflight shot of the wing!

At this point, the plane is probably over central Georgia. It shook a little, and I wasn't too happy. I think I may have envisioned the worst possible scenario, but rightly so- planes are pretty terrifying. It's sort of an archetypical fear of malfucntion while in an airplane, and I'll probably never grow out of it.

I am not a happy camper at this point in time!

More to follow.
